of this document is to provide detailed information of scanning, storing and
printing process of OMR Forms used in Evaluator 1.0 or 2.0.

Scanning
Process
|
|
Introduction:
|
| The
function of the O.M.R software to scanning and evaluate the O.M.R answer sheet
of the competitive examination scanning and this software does evaluation |
|

Scanning
and evaluation of O.M.R sheet fill by student |
|
The
O.M.R sheet that filled by the student are scanned and save in some folder
after scanning, evaluate the O.M.R sheet, which give the information such as
how many question are attempted, how many question are correct, wrong in
attempted question and bonus marks, by the compression with correct answer
sheet. To evaluate the scanned O.M.R sheet of particular test, the user suspect
to evaluate the scanned O.M.R sheet of particular test, the user must specified
path of scanned sheet of particular test.
Scanning
is done either manually or using ADF (Automatic Document Feeder)
Manual
scanners: -in
manual type scanner the O.M.R answer sheet are to be fed manually one by one,
after scanning user has to remove the answer sheet, and put next sheet
ADF
(automatically document feeder) scanners: - This
is an advance category of scanner. A answer sheet that are scanned are
stacked on the feeder it, automatically fed to the feeder.

point to remember during scanning |

Black and White Mode of scanning

Threshold value between 160-165

The darkness value setting of the
scanner is crucial, the mark on circle or oval is absolutely visible, no over
marking and duplicity other wise it will not taken in account or that question
is neglected, not count as question attempt

The O.M.R answer sheet is of uniform
size, if some sort of error should not be used
-
The selection of scanning area should
select properly, otherwise make mistake during evaluation, result error.

Important point to remember during the
scanning of the O.M.R answer sheet is that O.M.R sheet is placed on the scanner
should not be folded from the corners, this cause an error so this precaution
is taken during the scanning of O.M.R answer sheet

After scanning the answer sheet by
taking above precaution it can be store in some folder, select the name of the
folder that is easily identified in the

After scanning and evaluation is over
the user can click the Duplicate button if there is any duplicate ID card no/
Roll no. The Id card no and Roll no is the uniquely identity of the student, so
no duplicity is in this field .If duplicity then click on rectify duplicate
image this remove the duplicity, If there is no duplicity then proceed to next
step

Storing
Images
|

| After
scanning the images (OMR forms) stored in a proper place by the user so that
maintenance and accessing of images will become easy. |

points in Storing
|
| Store
images in a proper folder path related to Test name/ code and test date.

Introduction:

| The
OMR form fill up by the students (people) is the preprinted OMR form. |
|

Important points to be remember in Printing
|
|
|

The User can get these printed
forms by printing it by a printer company, or

By laser printer, or |

User can order to Veltronics India Pvt. Ltd. |
|
>
The user should not use the photocopied sheets as it affects accuracy of sheets
a lot and also it increases the number of rejected sheets. |

> Use 100%
identical sheets for one Test
|
|
> Do not use
multiple sheet lots for one test; use one complete lot of sheet for one test
(Ex: For test PHYSICS001 out of 100 sheets 80 sheets are taken from one lot and
20 sheets are taken from other lot.

>
Do not print sample or master copy from
above images etc. always print master copies from Evaluator 2.0 software
|
